At 5’11, Alex Meraz is best known for his role as the volatile werewolf Paul in The Twilight Saga: New Moon. He was born on Jan. 10, 1985. Alex claims indigenous Mexican heritage from the P’urhépecha people who are located in the northwestern region of the Mexican state Michoacán. Alex attended The New School For The Arts, learning all about the art of performing. In addition to his interest in acting, Alex was involved in Martial Arts, competing in karate and capoeira. Meraz is also an avid painter and illustrator. In 2009, Alex landed his role as Paul, and the rest is history.
